About Us

 

 

Spirit-Design was started in 2010 after working for many years in the retail industry selling upscale 

 

soaps, perfumes and Men’s furnishings.  We also worked on designing window displays and gift 

 

arrangements.  We were always drawn to Fashion and accessories and conducted an occasional 

 

workshop on the art of accessorizing with ease and practicality. We embarked on a course of study in 

 

Jewelry design beginning at New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology and advanced to courses in 

 

Metal work at The School of Visual Arts. This proved to be a wonderful extension to earlier programs at 

 

Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art where we graduated and the BA in Fine Arts from 

 

Brooklyn College.  Over the years we worked at various creative endeavors which included calligraphy, 

 

drawings for church pamphlets and flyers to making puppets.   We are inspired by color and various 

 

forms as they occur in nature.  Our designs include silver, brass and copper as well as semi-precious

 

stones, glass, crystals and pearls.  Our designs have been sold at local craft fairs and community events.
